Wave is missing a table feature in its editor, but that shouldn't stop anyone from making tables in waves.
InitialBLIP solution:
Make your table with HTML using whatever tool you want or write it by hand and use the Wave Gadget http://wave-ide.appspot.com/html.xml
The final result with a CSS styled table in a wave could look like this:

Hi,
Whilst the approach you have shown is useful, it would be even more useful to write robot and gadget which does this for you based on text analysis. It could for example use the wiki syntax for tables which is quite intuitive.
